The Story Behind Embers of Hope

Some businesses start with a business plan. Mine started with grief, a little bit of wax, and the slow, quiet work of finding my way back to hope.

When my dad was diagnosed with Stage 4 Stomach Cancer, it became the hardest year of our lives. After he passed, my mom and I had to figure out how to move forward. My body, carrying more than it could hold, eventually gave out — migraines, back spasms, anxiety, and a confidence in myself and my creativity that had all but disappeared.

Making candles gave me something to hold onto. Creating every single aspect of Embers of Hope — from the scents to the brand to the meaning behind each element — helped me climb out of the darkness and find myself again. It rebuilt my confidence, reignited my creativity, and reminded me that beauty can still come from hard places.

I get to live each day because of the goodness of the Lord and Him guiding me in every step of my life.

Represents story. My story. Your story. Of all five senses, scent is the one most closely tied to memory. Even the hard chapters of my life are ones I never want to forget — they're part of the journey.

🔥 The Phoenix

Represents both Hope and my dad. He loved dragons, and the phoenix carries that same fire and spirit. It also represents the Hope we never let go of — the same Hope he loved so much that he chose it as my middle name when I was born.
